The Los Angeles Lakers are doing well this season with a record of 31-19, and sitting in fifth place in the Western Conference. Although, this could be their last season with their franchise star, LeBron James.

According to former NBA champion, Kendrick Perkins, LeBron’s hometown is calling. Cleveland Cavaliers superstars James Harden and Donovan Mitchell are trying to recruit LeBron for at least one last season, and possibly finish his career in Cleveland to make a final championship run.

“My sources told me that Donovan Mitchell and James Harden are already starting the push to recruit LeBron James this offseason. I’m just telling you my sources tell me. Soon as James Harden got on the phone or got around the team we about to make this run, we about to go all out. But we want LeBron James,” Perkins said.

In his age 41 season, LeBron is averaging 21.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.1 steals in 33 minutes per game. While he’s slowed down, he’s still a star that a team can rely on to put up good numbers.

If LeBron were to join Cleveland, he’d be a third option behind Mitchell and Harden. That takes a burden off of him, as he’s going to turn 42 next year, and doesn’t need to be the workhorse of whatever team he’s on.

Hopefully, if this is the case and LeBron is going home, the Lakers do their best to try and give him the best playoff push they can to send him off on.
